United Kingdom

We ship via DHL Express and Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Tracked 48. If you are concerned about the speed or security of your packages, please choose DHL Express. DHL Express has the benefit of real-time delivery updates and the option to make alternative delivery arrangements if you will not be at home.

We ship Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We aim to ship UK orders placed before 11 am on these days on the same day. UK orders placed after 11 am will be shipped on the following shipping day.

You will receive a tracking number for your item once your order has been processed and is ready to be shipped. If you haven’t received a tracking number, check your spam folder.

Customers are responsible for shipping fees associated with resending orders that have been lost or returned to us after a missed delivery.

International

We ship from the UK via DHL Express International Courier, and Deutsche Post Global Mail or Royal Mail International depending on the destination country. The shipping time frames advertised are provided to us by the mail carriers and reflect ‘delivery aims’ only. Items can take longer to arrive. If your order is time sensitive, choose DHL Express International Courier. As well as being the fastest and most secure option, DHL Express provides real-time delivery updates and the option to make alternative delivery arrangements if you will not be at home.

Items sent via Deutsche Post Global Mail or Royal Mail will be delivered by the local postal carrier in your country. (For example, in France packages will be delivered by La Poste, while in Italy packages will be delivered by Poste Italiane, and so on). Often, additional delivery or pick up details can be accessed by entering your tracking number into your local postal carrier’s website.

We ship internationally on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We aim to ship orders placed before 10 am GMT/BST Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, on the same day. Orders placed after 10 am GMT/BST will be shipped the following shipping day.

You will receive a tracking number for your item once your order has been processed and is ready to be shipped. Please note that tracking numbers can take up to 48 hours to become active. If you haven’t received a tracking number, check your spam folder. Alternatively, you can retrieve your tracking number by logging into your Urbanomic account.

Customs Fees

All our packages are sent with digital customs forms. Please be aware that, depending on your country’s import regulations, you may be required to pay customs fees on items received from the UK. This is tax paid to your government, not to Urbanomic, and customs fees are the customer’s responsibility.

Alternatively, our books can be ordered from local booksellers through our distributer, MIT/Penguin Random House.

Portugal

Items passing through Portuguese customs can be subject to long processing times. We advise all customers in Portugal to pre-register their items and pre-pay their customs tax in advance through the CTT website using their tracking details and order information.

If customers wish, they can supply their personal Tax ID to us in the order notes and we will add this to the customs slip to help to reduce processing times. If an invoice displaying tax details is required (or other relevant documentation) do not hesitate to contact us via the email address below.
