Urbanomic’s journal Collapse co-sponsored this event devised by Ray Brassier and Alberto Toscano at Goldsmiths University, London, bringing together for the first time Ray Brassier, Graham Harman, Iain Hamilton Grant, and Quentin Meillassoux, to discuss diverse new approaches to philosophical realism.

In a wide-ranging discussion on the predicament of realism in philosophy today, each of the contributors gave an exposition of their own unique approach to the questions thrown up by the post-Kantian ‘correlationist’ consensus and assessed the prospects of a contemporary return to realism.

An edited transcript of the event was subsequently published in Collapse 3.
