Christine Wertheim is author of eight books including three poetic suites, The Book of Me, mUtter-bAbel, and +|’me’S-pace, experiments in auto-bio-graphy fusing graphics and text to explore the potentialities of the English tongue, and the relationship between suppressed infantile rage and global violence. With her sister Margaret, she is co-creator of the project Crochet Coral Reef (crochetcoralreef.org), and co-director of the Institute For Figuring, a non-profit focusing on the aesthetic dimensions of science and mathematics. She teaches at CalArts.
