Axel Röbel is Research Director at IRCAM and head of the Sound Analysis-Synthesis team. His research activities focus on the analysis, synthesis, and transformation of sound signals, notably STFT-based signal processing and extended source filter models for voice and music instruments. His recent focus is concerned with deep learning algorithms for sound signal processing: neural vocoding, differential discrete signal processing, and sound manipulation using disentanglement.
