Alina Popa

Alina Popa cares for a place from which it is possible to have artistic consequences, without a total break-up of life and art, of the politics of production and the politics of the product, of oneself as subjectivity and oneself as performance, of the art piece and its conditions of possibility. She thus found herself at the border—between visual arts and contemporary dance, the white cube and the black box, writing and theory. She founded The Bureau of Melodramatic Research together with Irina Gheorghe, the Bezna series of publications, and, more recently, Unsorcery, Black Hyperbox, Artworlds with Florin Flueraș.
