One of the most influential figures in contemporary philosophy of mind and neurophilosophy, Churchland is Professor Emeritus at the University of California at San Diego. Amongst his publications are: A Neurocomputational Perspective (MIT Press, 1989), Matter and Consciousness (MIT Press, 1998), and Neurophilosophy at Work (Cambridge University Press, 2007).
