Jean Petitot is Director of Studies at the EHESS, Centre d’analyse et de mathématique sociales, Paris. His work concerns epistemology of mathematics and mathematical physics, morphodynamic models for cognitive science and connectionism, complex systems, differential geometry, and naturalised phenomenology. His publications include Morphogenèse du sens (Paris: PUF, 1985), La Philosophie transcendantale et le problème de l'objectivité (Paris: Osiris, 1991), and, with R. Doursay, Cognitive Morphodynamics: Dynamical Morphological Models of Constituency in Perception and Syntax (Bern: Peter Lang, 2011).
