Julian Barbour collaborated for several years with Bruno Bertotti on the implementation of Mach’s principle. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers and volumes including Absolute or Relative Motion Vol.1 The Discovery of Dynamics (Cambridge UP, 1989), the conference proceedings Mach’s Principle: From Newton’s Bucket to Quantum Gravity (Birkhauser, 1995), and The End of Time (Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1999). He is a Visiting Professor in Physics at the University of Oxford, UK.
