He explores the ‘cultures of consciousness’ on his weekly podcast Expanding Mind, and recently earned his PhD in religious studies at Rice University. His next book, High Weirdness: Drugs, Esoterica, and Visionary Experience in the Seventies (Strange Attractor/MIT Press), will be published in 2019.
