EXCERPT In this chapter we will review the reception that advanced mathematics has enjoyed in mathematical philosophy. As we shall see, the absences clearly outnumber the presences, though there have been significant efforts to be open to modern and contemporary mathematics. This chapter seeks only to carve out a few bibliographic footholds in a global descriptive landscape.
